A little background on my skin, normally I have pretty clear skin, sometimes it can be dry but every time I have a baby my face decides to do a blast from the past and takes me back to middle school with constant break outs. I am sure this is a mixture of stress, hormones and sleep deprivation. Well 6 months ago I had this little guy...

So my face has been...not so lovely lately, constant break outs, mostly on my forehead and around my mouth. Also I have recently moved to Wyoming and the town we live in is not only cold and dry but also VERY windy, which has dried my face to no end making it feel tight and raw. I have been using a generic moisturizer along with washing my face but within minutes I would feel completely dried out again.

I have been using the Beautiful AM and PM set for 2 months now and here is what I thought of some of their claims
    • Great for all skin types – oily or dry
I found this to be very true, with my post pregnancy skin some days I am extremely oily and other days so dry, and this really fit what I needed. The dry days my skin soaked it up and felt so much better and didn't dry out again later in the day. On oily days I just blotted off the extra (company suggests allowing product to settle for 2-3 min then blotting if there is excess) and didn't feel greasy.
    • Cleanses pores of dirt and bacteria naturally
I couldn't see a major difference in the cleanliness of my skin. I did after a while feel like I needed a good exfoliation and would exfoliate then apply the Beautiful PM Revitalizer but that may have been more mentally feeling like I needed to scrub off the junk then really needing it.
    • Skin looks and feels younger, softer and smooth like silk
    • Decreases the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and crow’s feet
    • Firms and tones skin’s appearance
For me I didn't think I would notice anything here, I am only 25 and have never been to concerned about looking old, and my skin has always been pretty soft. It did help tremendously with the dryness of my skin but I was surprised to notice my under my eyes looked so much better. With the new baby I have been up many nights and my eyes have been looking tired I have been so surprised to see how much better around my eyes look, less saggy, less dark and tired looking.
    • Blemishes appear to just fade away
Like I said before post pregnancy I always break out like crazy, I would love to report that I am blemish free but sadly it is not the case. But my break outs have dramatically decreased and the duration of the break out is sufficiently shortened so while it wasn't a miracle for my baby induced breakouts it has improved greatly!
    • Intensely moisturizes your skin more naturally than any cream or lotion
This was my favorite part of the set. With my genaric moisturizer I was dry withing minutes of putting it on and sometimes would skip the makeup and reapply the moisturizer later in the day because I was starting to get rashes from how dry my face was getting from the cold, dry and windy combo of our new town. With the Beautiful AM Moisturizer one application (4-6 drops) keeps my face soft and moisturized all day! I have even added an extra drop to my lips when they start to chap due to the weather for quick moisture for me it works better than chap stick!

Lastly something they don't advertise that I love is the smell! I love the citrus smell and in the morning it helps wake me up and feel energized for the day! Another cute thing about the product is they put your name right on the bottle, in the picture above it says Beautiful Jennifer, but my bottle says Beautiful Crystal making it something special just for me :)

Not only do they have the Beautiful Set for Women but they also have a set for men called The Man.

Not only did  I get to try this product to let you know how well the set works but they want to give Beautiful AM Moisturizers away to 3 of my readers!! And not only do they want to give 3 away, the manufacturer is willing to offer all my readers one free bottle. Pretty in Pink

Recently I have started doing photo shoots in my home and out side, partially because I needed items from the shop modeled and secretly because when I was a little girl I always wanted to be a photographer. Yesterday we had the sweetest little girl over to model one of our birthday sets, she didn't want to give any big smiles but still ended with very beautiful photos.

Sets include birthday hat, tutu, pink diaper cover, matching necklace

Strap is ricrac with elastic so it can be worn under the chin or like a headband

    Ninja Everywhere!

This is a super late post but I am catching up :) For Halloween my boys wanted to be ninjas from the Ninjago show.
Here is Red as the Red Ninja

    Cool ninja moves!

Batman was the Green Ninja, and now green is his favorite color!!

    At our Trunk or Treat

And baby was one of the snakes from the show as well (he had a blue tail just not in the photo). It was lots of fun and they still wear their costumes all the time now. I made them out of fleece and make them big so they could wear them all year. I chose fleece because it was on sale and cheap, plus it was really helpful since it was freezing on Halloween here!

    Feeling A Little Angry?

We aren't but we sure do love Angry Birds in this house! For Red's birthday he asked for an Red Angry Bird Cake (he loves everything red!)
For the cake I used rice crispies for the bottom half for support, I pressed the rice crispie treats (home made) into a glass bowl the size I wanted the cake to be and let harden. Then I turned it out frosted and put layers of cake on top and sculpting the cake to make a sphere. Frosted the entire thing, used straws as supports, and used my homemade marshmallow fondant to cover (red fondant is chocolate fondant). Red wanted a picture with the cake when it was half done...guess he was really proud of it that far :)

Right before guests come  I add the finishing touches, the beak, top feathers and tail feathers all had gumtex added to the fondant an were let to harden on tooth picks so they would hold their shape when put on the cake.

We celebrated Red's birthday by going to the splash park with a big slip and slide!

    Yo Ho Ho!

We celebrated Sam turning 4 last month, I can't believe he is that big already!! Sam chose a Jake and the Never Land Pirates themed birthday party, it was really fun to go all out for him :)
I had a completely hard but cool cake in mind but then Sam asked if he could have a treasure chest cake, still very cool but not as hard so I was happy to accept the challenge!

This is the gold doubloon on the front of the treasure chest, I tried to make it as much like the treasure chest from the show as possible.
The base of the cake was chocolate cake, the top of it is rice crispies, it was super humid that week so I had a hard time with things melting and drooping!

    The back
I used chocolate fondant using my marshmallow fondant recipe but changing it by alternating cocoa powder and powder sugar a little at a time until it reached the right flavor I wanted. I used chocolate fondant because it helps you get to the red color faster. For the trim and gold parts I used yellow regular fondant and painted it with gold luster dust, its amazing the color it really looks like gold!

inside I made gold fondant coins and stamped some with an S :) I also made hard candy gems but they started melting due to the humidity but they tasted really good!! I  also made a ring, and bracelet out of fondant and candy pearls.

dont mind the gross corner lol we also bought the figures for my son for a present and put it with the cake.
a good friend of mine did face painting for us! You can see more of her work here http://www.provofacepainting.com/

Each child got to color their own party hat

We had a few games our first was Sink the Ship we made paper cannon balls and had painted ships tapes to buckets they would throw the cannon balls at each other and we would see how many there were when time was up who ever had the least in their ship won.

The littler ones had a hard time with the throwing part they just wanted to pick up and dump in the other teams boat :)

Then we played Save Your Shipmate where we tossed pool rings to catch the other team member

We had a fun treasure hunt, the main map took them to the first clue then each clue they found had a riddle to another place on the map they would follow all the clues until they found the treasure.

    Finding more clues

Each clue had a trap by it so they would have to do something before they could pick it up :)

Here is the clue that led them to the tree on the map
Everyone got a goody bag out of the treasure chest in the end.

Sam picked a shark for his face paint it was a very popular choice.

Happy 4th to my little/big guy!
